Example of governance structure from Tanzania
In Tanzania, the CMT comprised of representatives from the Ministry of Health, GAIN, and the UNICEF. The Ministry of Health appointed five members to be part of the CMT, including members from the Nutrition Unit, Health Promotion Unit, Government Communication Unit, and the Tanzania Food and Nutrition Centre (TFNC). Two independent local consultants were also included. The CMT met bi-weekly to provide direct supervision and quality-control feedback to the creative agency’s work.
The CAC included eight representatives from the following organisations: the President’s Office; Regional Administration and Local Government (PO-RALG); the Ministry of Health of Zanzibar; local government authorities; academia including Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences, University of Dodoma, and Sokoine University of Agriculture; and a civil society organisation, represented by the Partnership for Nutrition in Tanzania. The CAC met monthly to discuss campaign progress and provide strategic feedback.
