Schedule and conduct M&E activities

Once indicators have been chosen for your M&E activities, identify data sources to gather the information you need to measure progress. Data sources may include programme data, focus group discussions, campaign surveys, governmental surveys, other large-scale surveys, for e.g., UNICEF, and more. Consider how data will be collected for your M&E activities. Who will collect the information, how it will be recorded, where records will be stored and how it will be analysed, are all important factors to consider. There are many tools to support data collection, and some programmes will hire an organisation to support data collection and management.
